There’s a moment every parent knows. The kids are finally asleep, and you realise you’re sitting in the dark on the end of the bed, whispering, because there’s nowhere else to go.
A proper family suite fixes that. Everyone’s under one roof, there is some space between parents and kids, and there’s somewhere to sit once little eyes close. The catch is that “family room” on a Bali listing can mean anything from a genuinely clever layout to a standard room with an extra bed squeezed in. So we’ve gone through our collection and pulled out the Bali hotels with family suites that actually deliver.
What makes a good family suite in Bali
We look for separate sleeping spaces, not just extra beds. More than one bathroom once you’re a family of four or more. Somewhere to spread out that isn’t the bed. And bonus points for a bunk or a cute room designed with kids in mind.
Family Nest Resort & Villas, Uluwatu
Family Nest is one of the few places in Bali built for families from day one. It’s run by people who live on site with their own children, and it shows.
The accommodation is all villas, from one to five bedrooms, across 1.5 walkable hectares. The two- and three-bedroom villas are the sweet spot for most families. You get a private pool, a fully equipped kitchen, indoor-outdoor living and kids’ bedrooms that can be reconfigured, and in the three-bedroom villas every bedroom has its own bathroom. Travelling with grandparents, or with another family? The four- and five-bedroom villas fit the lot.
Cots and bed bumpers are free, pool fencing is available to hire, and toys and books are waiting when you arrive. The 1,000 sqm Pangolin Kids Club, for ages 0–14, runs until 8pm, which gives parents real evening time. A free shuttle runs to Padang Padang Beach throughout the day.

Paradisus by Meliá Bali, Nusa Dua
Freshly renovated and set on 25 acres of gardens and lagoon pools, Paradisus is Asia’s first Destination Inclusive hotel. Book an inclusive rate and dining, drinks, the kids’ club, the Aquazone water park and activities are all covered. Room-only rates are available too.
The room to book is the Family Concierge Connecting Junior Suite. It’s two interconnected suites with direct lagoon pool access, a living room with a double sofa bed, a dining area, a bathroom and an extra restroom. The Family Concierge tier adds a dedicated check-in with a kids’ playground, a family beach area of your own, and daily kids’ club access.
There’s Kidsdom for the little ones and the YOURWAY zone for teens. Parents get the YHI Spa and an adults-only Reserve area, and the airport is only 20–25 minutes away.

Hyatt Regency Bali, Sanur
The Hyatt Regency is Sanur’s anchor family resort. It has nine hectares of mature tropical gardens, koi ponds, resident ducks and 500 metres of calm, shallow private beach.
The Family Suite (also listed as the Regency Suite) is the one for a family of four. It’s 54 sqm, with a king bedroom and a separate living room, and it sleeps two adults and two children under 12. Suite guests get Regency Club access too, with breakfast every day plus evening drinks and snacks. The Hyatt doesn’t offer rollaway beds, so for four people the suite is the simplest option.
There’s Camp Hyatt for ages 3–12 and a toddler pool with a slide, and a connecting entrance to Andaz Bali next door. The traffic-free Sanur beach path runs right past the gate.

Padma Resort Legian, Legian
Padma is one of those resorts families come back to again and again. It sits right on Legian Beach, with nearly seven hectares of gardens, a winding lagoon pool, a kids’ pool with two waterslides, and the Wolly Kids Club, where foam parties are a regular event.
For a family of four, the Family Deluxe Room works like a suite. It’s two adjoining rooms with a guaranteed connecting door, a king room for parents and a twin room for the kids. With toddlers, look at the Lagoon Access Rooms too. They’re on the ground floor, and you step straight out of your room into the pool.
Padma is also known for its breakfast, its themed family dinners, and a daily three-hour happy hour that parents talk about long after they’ve flown home.
