Uluwatu is Bali at its most dramatic – clifftop hotels, wild coastline and some of the most spectacular views you’ll find anywhere on the island. It suits families with older kids and teens best, especially anyone keen to surf, but private lifts down to beach clubs mean even younger children can enjoy the water without the trek. Spend your days at the pool or beach club, watch the sunset from a clifftop bar, and don’t miss a Kecak fire dance at Uluwatu Temple while you’re here. It’s a little further from the airport than the other areas, but the payoff in scenery is hard to match.
