Bali Hotels with Waterslides: Family Resorts Kids Will Love

Ask most kids what they want from a Bali holiday, and you’ll hear the same answer: a waterslide. Find a hotel with a good one and the days take care of themselves. The kids slide, splash, and come back for more, and you get a sun lounger with a view of the action.

Not every Bali pool slide is created equal, though. Some resorts have a full water park, others a single slide in the kids’ pool, and a few have a gentle little slide made for toddlers. So we’ve gone through our collection and picked out the Bali hotels with waterslides that are worth booking for, and which age each one suits best.

Waterslides in Bali: what to know first

Big slides and toddler slides are very different things. The bigger slides at resorts like Grand Hyatt and Paradisus suit confident swimmers, while slides in a kids’ pool are built for little ones. Most resorts set height or age limits on their bigger slides, and opening hours vary, so check the details once you’ve arrived.

Nusa Dua has the biggest concentration of resorts with slides in Bali, which is one more reason it’s so popular with families. If you’d rather be somewhere livelier, Legian has one of the best family slide pools on the island.

Paradisus by Meliá Bali, Nusa Dua

If your kids want a proper water park, Paradisus is the answer. The Aquazone water park sits inside the resort, with a set of slides, splash zones and interactive water play, so there’s no need for a day trip to get the full water park experience.

There’s also Kidsdom for younger children and a Teens Club for ages 13 to 18. Book an inclusive rate and dining, drinks, the kids’ club, and activities are all covered, or choose room-only. For a family of four, the Family Concierge Connecting Junior Suite is the room to book, with direct lagoon pool access and Family Concierge perks like a family beach area of your own.

Grand Hyatt Bali, Nusa Dua

Grand Hyatt has five pools spread across its huge beachfront grounds, and for kids there’s one that matters most: the River Pool, with two waterslides. Families tend to gather there, while the lagoon-style Main Pool and the quieter Balinese Feature Pool, with its waterfalls, give everyone else room to spread out.

The Oceania Kids Club runs a mix of free and paid activities with a Balinese culture twist, and there’s an adults-only Bay Club pool, sauna and steam room for when parents need a break. The resort has direct access to one of Nusa Dua’s longest stretches of beach. With little ones, ask for a ground-floor room close to the pools, as the resort is big.

Padma Resort Legian, Legian

Padma’s family pool is one of the best slide pools in Bali, and it’s just one part of a resort built around families. The family pool has three slides and sits right beside the Wolly Kids Club & Games Centre, where foam parties are a regular event. There’s also a winding lagoon pool and nearly seven hectares of gardens, all right on Legian Beach.

For families, the Ground Floor Family Rooms are set around the family pool, with a king master bedroom, a second bedroom with bunk beds and two bathrooms. You’re steps from the slides from the moment you open the door. Padma is also loved for its breakfast and its daily happy hour.

The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Nusa Dua

The Westin keeps things simple: a freshwater pool with a 12-metre waterslide, plus a large saltwater pool and an adults-only pool for parents. The slide suits primary school-aged kids who are happy in the water, and the Westin Family kids’ club runs activities from morning to evening in a shaded garden corner.

For families, the 117 sqm Family Suite has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living area, and the ground-floor Family Suite Pool Terrace puts you right by the pools. The resort sits on its own stretch of calm Nusa Dua beach.

Good to know: children six and over are charged as adults at the Westin, so add everyone’s ages when you search.

Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort, Nusa Dua

Sofitel is the pick for younger kids. Next to the Kids Club there’s a dedicated children’s pool with a water slide, fountains that spurt up from the ground and an artificial-sand beach entry, so little ones can paddle in gently. The Kids Club itself has indoor and outdoor spaces.

Parents get the best of it too. The main pool is a sprawling lagoon network with a swim-up bar, and the pool access rooms have steps from your terrace straight into the water. The Manarai Beach House, with two more pools, is right on the sand.

Hyatt Regency Bali, Sanur

For toddlers, a big slide is less important than a safe, shallow one, and that’s where the Hyatt Regency shines. Its toddler pool has a little slide made for small swimmers, and Camp Hyatt keeps ages 3 to 12 busy.

The resort has nine hectares of mature gardens, koi ponds and resident ducks, plus 500 metres of calm, shallow beach. The traffic-free Sanur beach path runs right past the gate, which makes it easy to push a pram to breakfast.

Want even more slides?

For a full day of slides, Waterbom Bali in Kuta is one of the best-known water parks in Asia, and a great day out with older kids. Pair it with a resort slide pool and you’ll have a happy crew. If you’re splitting your stay between a hotel and a villa, our villa and hotel split stay guide shows how to plan it, and our sister site Bali Family Villas can help with the villa part.
