AYANA Resort Bali earns its reputation without needing to shout about it. Perched on 90 hectares of clifftop above Jimbaran Bay, the main resort has rooms and suites with ocean views that are genuinely jaw-dropping, 14 pools spread across the estate, a spa that consistently makes best-in-Bali lists, and the Rock Bar — set into the natural rock shelf above the Indian Ocean — which is one of the most extraordinary sunset experiences on the island. Same deal as RIMBA: the estate is vast, and the beach is a tram ride, not a walk. But at AYANA, the rooms and suites sit closer to the clifftop views, and the overall experience is a step up in elevation — literally and figuratively. For families, AYANA delivers at the luxury tier. The RIMBA Jungle Adventure kids club is accessible to all estate guests by tram. The Tevana Kids Club at AYANA Resort — check with the hotel on current status when booking. The infinity pools, the Aquatonic therapeutic pool, 19+ dining venues — all of it available while the kids are sorted. The food here is genuinely one of the estate’s great pleasures; you’ll still be discovering new restaurants on your last night.

The Main Event
14 pools and the Rock Bar
The main infinity pool overlooking Jimbaran Bay is extraordinary. The Aquatonic therapeutic pool is one of the spa's headline experiences. And the Rock Bar — set into the natural rock shelf above the ocean — is one of Bali's most iconic experiences. Reserve well in advance; it fills every sunset.

Feed the Crew
19+ venues, still discovering on day five
PADI restaurant for seafood. Sami Sami for Italian. Kampoeng Bali for Balinese village dining with cultural performances. Breakfast buffet consistently outstanding. Kids menus available throughout. The dining variety is one of the estate's genuine pleasures.

Toes in the Sand
Private Kubu Beach by tram
Kubu Beach — the estate's private white-sand beach — accessible by tram. Sheltered, staffed and genuinely beautiful. Not walking distance from the rooms but the tram runs regularly. Water sports available from the beach.

Good to Know
Vast estate — plan your days
Same as RIMBA: the AYANA Estate is enormous and getting between one end and the other takes the tram. Build it into your rhythm from day one and it becomes part of the experience. Most families who've stayed here say by day two they've completely figured out the flow.

Beyond the Gates
Mostly you won't leave
The honest truth about AYANA: most families check in and barely leave the estate. When you do — Jimbaran seafood strip for sunset dinner, Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, Uluwatu Temple and Kecak fire dance about 30 min. 20–25 min to airport.

About Jimbaran
Seafood on the beach, sheltered beach and some of Bali’s finest resorts. Bali made simple.
Jimbaran is the kind of place that sneaks up on you. It’s not purpose-built like Nusa Dua andit’s not buzzing like Canggu — it’s something in between that’s genuinely hard to find in Bali. The bay is sheltered and still, the sunsets are ridiculous, and the famous seafood warungs on the beach at dusk are one of those Bali experiences every family should do at least once.
The family resort strip in Jimbaran is home to some of the island’s most prestigious properties — Four Seasons, Ayana, InterContinental — all sitting on or above the bay with views that do the talking. It’s a genuinely luxurious corner of Bali without the energy of the more built-up areas further north.
The beach is swimmable, and the pace is unhurried, and the whole area has a settled, confident feel to it. Not much happens in Jimbaran beyond the hotels and the seafood strip— and for many families, that’s exactly the point.
It sits close enough to the airport to make arrival easy, and close enough to Uluwatu to make a sunset at the Temple or a surf at Bingin feel like a very achievable day trip. For families looking for luxury hotels in Bali without the fuss, Jimbaran delivers every time.
