The Lombok Lodge is one of the most genuinely family-oriented boutique properties in Lombok. With only 9 suites, the service is intensely personal — every child gets their own welcome surprise at check-in, family activities are tailored rather than timetabled, and the owners Ben and Anja have built the whole property around the idea that families should be able to experience the real Lombok alongside genuine luxury.
Daily à la carte breakfast is included in the rate. Dinner for two (or four in the Family Lodge suite) is also included. The private beach club Bagno di Gili sits at Turtle Point on Gili Meno — 15 minutes by boat from the Lodge. Exclusive to Lodge guests, it’s a white-sand coral beach with clear water and excellent snorkeling. Baby turtle releases happen regularly here, and children can participate — one of the genuinely memorable moments that makes a holiday stick in children’s minds for years.
Boat transfers to all three Gili Islands are arranged by the hotel. Worth being honest about the distance: the Lodge is in Medana Bay in North Lombok, approximately 60–90 minutes from Lombok International Airport. It’s a longer transfer than the Kuta properties, but the coastal road through rice paddies is genuinely beautiful, and the Lodge arranges airport transfers. Arriving by fast boat from Bali lands you close to this area of the island.
There is no formal kids club — the activities on offer are nature-based, cultural and adventure-focused. Families who want a structured activity program should look at Novotel or Pullman in Kuta instead. With a dive school on site, a cooking class, and an easy drive to the golf course, there are plenty of activities for everyone. Despite the boutique scale, your family’s needs are met with family suite room options and two- and three-bedroom villas. Many room categories include both breakfast and lunch.
